Velvet Midnight trotted across the Lone Prairie. A herd... she thought, then told herself firmly to STOP. Her trot grew faster until she was cantering. A herd of my own... The jet-black mare was galloping now, her tail streaming out behind her. Stop it! she shouted inside her mind, then suddenly came to a full stop.

"I. Don't. Care!"
